2011 Porsche Cayenne Hybrid, Review and Price

Porsche’s first hybrid will be a SUV. The $ 68,675 Cayenne S Hybrid is Porsche’s debut in the world of battery-powered propulsion. The vehicle uses a 333 hp 3.0-liter V6 borrowed from the Audi S4.
The Porsche’s setup will be also seen on the next year’s VW Touareg Hybrid. The Hybrid is 21% more fuel efficient than the 300 hp V6 Cayenne and surpasses the 400 hp V8 model by 28 %.
The total power generated by the combination of petrol and electric is 380 hp. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.1 seconds. The top speed of the Porsche hybrid is 150 mph and the fuel consumption rate is 21 mpg in city and 25 in highway.
The price fixed and announced by Porsche excludes destination costs and charges and the car does not comprise any gas-guzzler tax. The Cayenne S Hybris will find its way into the showrooms by next month.
The Cayenne S Hybrid is a 5-passenger, 5-door SUV, with an 8-speed automatic transmission, 380 hp, 427 lb-ft torque. Powerplant: Supercharged 3.0 L V6 w/ permanent magnet AC synchronous motor.
