Hillary Clinton, Crucial Meeting With Benjamin Netanyahu

US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton has welcomed the idea of meeting with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, before holding talks in New York. The main topic revolves around the issue of Jewish settlements, which are located in the occupied territories.

” We’re both very committed to it. I know and I’ve said repeatedly that the prime minister and President Abbas are both very committed to the two-state solution and we’re going to find a way forward”, Hillary Clinton told journalists.
Netanyahu spoke about a possible reconciliation with Palestinians and added that the officials are trying to figure out    ” how to resume them to continue this process to get the historic agreement with peace and security between us and the Palestinians.” “We’re quite serious about doing it and we want to get on with it , so you’ll have to stop asking questions”, Netanyahu told the reporters.
President Mahmud Abbas said that he waits for President Obama to be true to his words when he talked about the creation of a Palestinian state in a year-time: ” We consider this statement to be a commitment by President Obama, not just a slogan. and we hope that next year he won’t say to us ‘ we apologize, we can’t”.
Netanyahu also said before his meeting with Clinton, that they would also talk about extending the peace-making actions on other Arab countries, in order to ensure proper regional security.
The Israeli prime minister wanted everyone to be clear on the fact that Israel will maintain a military presence on the east border of any Palestinian country.
